About Vision 2040
Vision 2040 is long term transformational project launched by Manappat Foundation in 2015 to make substantial impact in the field of socio-economic upliftment of underprivileged and marginalised section of the population of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Assam. Any socio-economic transformation takes after a sustained and focused intervention in multiple domains simultaneously over a long time. This project is also conceived to achieve the stated goal of socio-economic empowerment of marginalised communities during a time horizon of 25 years from year 2015 to year 2040, hence aptly named "VISION2040"..
Uttar Pradesh is the first state in which this project is being piloted as it is the most populous state of India with some of the highly alarming socio-economic indicators
- Very Low Human Development Index (0.457)
- 8 of the 20 least developed districts of India (i.e. 40%)
- Highest income disparity.
Uttar Pradesh also presents the greatest potential in terms of growth and development. It just needs focused and sustained intervention in the field of health, education and financial inclusion among the vulnerable and marginalised section of its population. Manappat Foundation, under Vision 2040 project has launched a multitude of programs in these three fields in different parts of Uttar Pradesh since 2015.
A Brief Overview...Manappat Foundation
Manappat Foundation (MF) was established on 20th May 1993 as the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Manappat Group of Companies which has a presence in Engineering; Research & Development, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Trading, Food and Hospitality sector in India; UAE, Oman, KSA and UK. The Foundation is headed by Mr AmeerAhamed, Chairman & Group Managing Director of Manappat Group Of Companies.
The focus of MF is socio-economic upliftment of marginalised section through programs following systematic approach. It all started with the introduction of welfare programs across Indian state of Kerala and gradually spread to other areas.
The ambit of MF's activities include providing a helping hand for the orphans, periodic food distribution, early child education and development, scholarships, technical skill training and micro-financing for marginalised communities. MF strives to play a constructive role in Nation Building by empowering marginalised communities, promoting communal harmony and inspiring change in the society.
