Vision School

These are Informal Primary Schools for providing educational support to the children from marginalised section of society with no access to school. The aim is to eventually integrating these children with formal government or private schools.

These schools are being set up mainly in the urban slum areas with high concentration of marginalised communities. The infrastructure is planned to cater to about 200 to 250 students of nursery to 4th standard. There are five to seven classrooms for 30 students each along with Indoor activity area for "Experiential Learning". School also has a library and reading room and a small play area. There are basic amenities like cool water dispenser and washrooms for the students and staff. School also has a small office for Principal / Administration.

 

Teachers in these schools are mainly drawn from local community. Some socially conscious students also volunteer on part time teaching and counseling assignment. These schools have Community Organiser as well who interacts with the parents of students and potential students in order to motivate them in sending their children to school.
